Photo Of the Month: Self portrait. Orton. Cumbria.

Lunch has never tasted so good. Sitting on a wet curbside outside Orton village post office (they even sell tea: that's what a Post Office should be like!), we snatched a half hour between heavy rain downpours to inhale some lunch. Muddy, wet and exhausted this was only halfway through day 2 of a 160-mile, 4-day off road traverse of the North of England, an epic that started in Penrith, Lake District and finished in Bradford, Yorkshire. It might only be England but it's one of the toughest bike stories I've ever ridden/shot, not helped by some of the fiercest weather the skies could throw at us (did I mention 80 mph winds?). You'll read the story in MBUK mag in a month or so's time. Leica M8, Voigtlander 40/1.4
